Quality Engineer (Manufacturing) Seneca, SC DIRECT HIRE/FTE Base annual salary range:
$80,000-$100,000 Fully on site in Seneca! o Relocation sign on bonus- open for the right candidate o Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree required o 5 plus years' experience in manufacturing quality field required o 3 to 5 years' in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Position Summary The individual aggressively drives quality improvement efforts in assigned areas with the goal of achieving zero defect performance, supports process improvement and problem-solving efforts with the focus on protecting and improving product quality.
This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures.
He/she will actively participate in the Global Star Safety Framework (GSSF) program, as well as follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies.

Standard Duties :
Provides quality support to assigned production operations to ensure the integrity of components and products produced.
The individual aggressively drives quality improvement efforts in assigned areas with the goal of achieving zero defect performance, supports process improvement and problem-solving efforts with the focus on protecting and improving product quality o Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned areas through participation as integral part of manufacturing team.
o Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis.
o Responsible for Quality assigned deliverables and team performance.
Manages Quality Operational team by providing coaching, direction, and employee accountability to areas of support.
o Work with the appropriate managers and training team to identify development and/or training needs for employees.
o Optimizes Process Capability on significant characteristics through effective application to statistical analysis techniques and training of Production in Problem-Solving.
o Responsible for New Product Qualifications, and verification of changes to current product.
o Through the application of APQP, supports the external and internal customers in New Product Introduction.
o Ensures that internal customer needs for Control Systems are met in a timely and functional manner.
o Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making.
o Know, practice, and be an advocate of all site safety rules and regulations.
o Results for this position will be measured by improvements to Customer Satisfaction and Internal Scrap rate.
o Drives and champions appropriate quality improvement efforts.
o Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a serious non-conformity to customer expectations, safety or environmental risks, etc.
o Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities Relationship Management o Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
o Work in collaboration with all local leadership and key stakeholders to implement and improve the quality strategy o Communicate with personnel at multiple levels, internally and externally Other Duties:

Knowledge/Skills:
o Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills required with ability to independently troubleshoot issues/concerns and determine course of action o Excellent attention to detail and process/system orientation required o Proven detailed understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF16949 required o Knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, capability studies, statistical distributions, machine (metalworking) and assembly processes, problem solving, team facilitation, GD&T, and AutoCAD.
Education & Experience o Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree required o 5 plus years' experience in manufacturing quality field required o 3 to 5 years' experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment preferred.
o Knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, capability studies, statistical distributions, machine (metalworking) and assembly processes, problem solving, team facilitation, G D & T, and AutoCAD.
o Knowledge of TS16949 automotive quality standards required.
o Experience with Supplier Development a plus.
o Experience in Minitab for statistical analysis preferred.
o Above average computer skills in MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, and Access.
