Order appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, EKGs and diagnostic procedures based on assessment and follow-up as appropriateWrite Prescriptions and Orders:
Write prescriptions/physician order under jointly developed protocols and practice guidelinesPatient Care:
Manage care in collaboration with physicians and other clinical personnelProvide consultation to colleagues and allied personnelRounds/ Documentation:
Rounds on inpatients based on directions of the attending physicianDictate and document patient history, physical exam and plans of careDocument admission and discharge notes when appropriate, ensuring that all documentation is clear, complete and legibleInvasive Procedures:
Perform specific invasive procedures, within the scope of advanced practice nursingCare improvement and evaluation:
Evaluate the quality of care provided and identify opportunities for improvements in patient care and clinical operationsResearch:
