Statistical Process Control (SPC) CAD software (AutoCAD preferable) Continuous Improvement and Cost Savings projects Production layout, reorganization, and optimization High-volume manufacturing processes Good analytical skills and experience applying problem solving techniques aimed at root cause corrective actions Professional verbal and written communication skills essential Must have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Job Duties: POSITION SUMMARY The successful candidate will fill a critical role and will be responsible for planning utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties: Material Flow, Project Mgt. Warehouse Flow, Logistics Flow, Value Stream Mapping. KEY ACCOUNTABILITY Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. Confers with management and Engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations. EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: o BS degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology from an accredited institution o Above average verbal and written communication skills o Above average organizational and project management skills o Material Flow, Warehouse Flow o Logistics Flow o Value Stream Mapping Warehouse Start-Up PC Skills: o Operating Systems (Windows 95/98/NT/XP), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Database (Access, dBase), etc. o Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. o Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
